No. The terminal is free, its source is public, and it is fully functional without it, including every AI feature, which also runs on your own provider keys. Intelligence is an optional convenience subscription, never a gate.
Yes, always. Bring-your-own-key plugins for Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq and OpenRouter (inference) plus Tavily and Exa (web search) are free forever and installed from the Plugins page in the terminal. You pay your provider directly and nothing is gated behind a subscription.
One credit equals $0.001 of underlying AI usage cost. All hosted AI draws from the same monthly budget; a hosted web search uses a flat 10 credits plus the tokens of the request that triggers it.
Hosted AI features pause until your budget resets; you are never billed overage automatically. Max subscribers can top up instantly with a credit pack, Pro subscribers can upgrade, and your own provider keys keep working regardless.
Your exchange API keys and wallets never leave your machine; they live in your OS keychain on desktop, or an encrypted vault in your browser, and Pairlens servers cannot store them. AI requests carry only the market context you invoke, like the chart or pair you ask about.
